EURplace26 – See Europe through the Eyes of Young Europeans!
A brand new online photo competition seeks to find out how young Europeans view diversity in their Europe.
EURO<26 has launched an online photo competition at www.eurplace26.org seeking young people's reflections on a diverse Europe.
Open to all young people aged under 30, we are asking young people to show us their experiences of diversity, tolerance and human rights in Europe through images they have caught on camera. Entries will be accepted online until 15th December 2007 . An international jury will select the winners, which will be announced on 7th January 2008 .
EURplace26 Prizes Great prizes will be awarded for the best photographs reflecting the EURplace26 themes, including the main prize of a Canon EOS 400 D D- SLR camera, with runner-up prizes of Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS cameras, iPod Shuffles and iPod Nano’s.
Making EURplace a SAFEplace The EYCA vision is of EURplace in Europe as a place where all young people accept and support each other, and can travel and appreciate the diversity in Europe . EURO<26 believes that it is through the mobility of young people through Europe – travelling with open eyes and open minds – that prejudices can be overcome and future conflicts avoided. We believe that all young people have a role to play in making EURplace in Europe a SAFEplace.
EURplace26 Supporters The competition is organised by the European Youth Card Association, with support from the Partial Agreement within the Framework of the Council of Europe. Canon has kindly sponsored the main prizes.
