The EURO<26 Youth Card for European
Voluntary Service
Volunteers on the European Voluntary Service receive a
personal EURO<26 Youth Card through a partnership between the
European Commission and the European Youth Card Association.
EURO<26/EVS Youth Card offers thousands of discounts and
benefits in 42 countries to all EVS Volunteers!
Are you an EVS volunteer? Read on! The youth cards encourage young people to
travel and try out new opportunities throughout Europe – and
to do this as cheaply as possible.
With the card you are one of 4 million young card holders in
Europe. The card may have a different name in each country (Carte
Jeunes, Jugendkarte, Carnet Joven, Karta Mladice, Carta Giovani,
etc.) but it always has the same EURO <26 logo with our mascot,
Hercules, juggling the stars of Europe. Wherever you go, look out for
this logo in museums, shops, restaurants, etc!
The card you receive as volunteer is a special limited edition
for EVS Volunteers and it is a gift from the European
Commission.
In most cases you can also use your EURO <26 card in
your own country, but the card doesn’t yet exist in all 47
European countries. (In Albania, Azerbaijan, Denmark, France, Iceland,
Norway there is currently no youth card.) But we are working hard to
introduce them there as soon as possible!
