Museum of Ceramic Technologies in Koło

The Museum of Ceramic Technologies in Koło is dedicated to the rich ceramic heritage of the town, particularly the renowned Koło faience produced since 1842. Located in a 19th‑century townhouse at Kajki Street, the museum has operated since 1975. Its core collection features decorative and functional faience pieces from the local factory—hand‑painted plates, bowls, tiles, and household ceramics. The museum also showcases exhibitions on the history of Koło and archaeological finds from the surrounding area, including Bronze Age and Roman‑period artefacts. It continues the legacy of Czesław Freudenreich, who first envisioned a ceramic museum in Koło during the interwar period.
