Young Scot Awards: celebrating the achievements of young people in Scotland

Since its launch in 2006, the Young Scot Awards has celebrated the inspirational contributions of thousands of young Scots who have made a real difference to communities across Scotland. The Awards are organised each year by our member organisation in Scotland - Young Scot.

The aim of the Awards is to showcase the inspirational work of young Scots and provide all young people in Scotland with amazing role models and the idea that each one of them can be a force for change in their lives and their communities.

The 2018 edition of the Awards is extra special as it is part of the Year of Young People 2018. This is why the 2018 Young Scot Awards categories are alingned with the themes young people co-designed for the Year of Young People:

Nominations are put forward by people from across Scotland in each category. Winners are announced during a high-profile celebration and gala which received extensive coverage across all media, including national television.

The 2018 Awards gala will take place on the 30th November and is one of the major events on the Year of Young People 2018 calendar.
