EYCA and Eurail team up: strategic partnership includes free Interrail Passes for European Youth Card competitions across Europe

Building on a shared mission of helping young people explore Europe, EYCA and the Eurail Group, the management organisation behind the Interrail Passes, have joined forces to offer free Interrail Passes to European Youth Cardholders in 2018. The Interrail Passes will be awarded as prizes in competitions organised by the Youth Card across Europe.

Manel Sanchez, EYCA Director, said: “The European Youth Card is all about giving young people opportunities to travel and discover new places, cultures and people. In addition to the 70,000 discounts available through the card, we are thrilled to now offer cardholders the unique Interrail experience and give them the chance to explore Europe by train. We’re sure this will be a truly unforgettable adventure for each and every one of them.”

Carlo Boselli, General Manager of Eurail Group, added: “Although people of all ages can explore Europe with an Interrail Pass, the foundations of Interrail are very much linked to youth. Interrail has allowed young people in Europe to connect with different nationalities, traditions, and destinations to broaden their own horizons. As part of a wider, strategic cooperation with EYCA, we’re pleased to be able to support European Youth Card holders to experience the diversity and unique qualities of Europe by rail.”

The Interrail Passes will be awarded as prizes in competitions organised by EYCA member organisations in the 36 countries in the network in 2018. From culture and sports to community engagement and entrepreneurship, the competitions will encourage and reward young people for their work and passions.
