EYCA & CSR Europe join forces to boost youth employability

On June 3rd, during the 32nd EYCA Conference, EYCA and CSR Europe signed a Memorandum of Understanding paving the way for EYCA to join the European Pact 4 Youth.

During the Conference plenary and in the presence of 80 delegates from EYCA member organisations and European partners, Jarkko Lehikoinen (EYCA President) and Jacques Spelkens (CSR Europe Board Member) signed the Memorandum of Understanding and encouraged all EYCA member organisations to contribute to the European Pact 4 Youth.

Being in contact with 6 million young Europeans and having over 30 years’ experience in working with youth, EYCA’s role in the development of the programme will be significant.

EYCA and CSR Europe are dedicated to work together in the framework of the European Pact 4 Youth in order to achieve the programmes aims:

Boost youth employability and inclusion with a target of at least 100,000 new good quality apprenticeships, traineeships or entry-level jobs;
To reduce the skills gaps with a target of creating 10,000 quality business-education partnerships;
To contribute to European and national policy through National Action Plans and joint proposals.
