Here are the winners of the 2017 EYCA Excellence Awards

Each year EYCA celebrates the achievements of its member organisations through the EYCA Excellence Awards. In 2017 we continued the tradition by recognising five EYCA members for their excellent work in the last 12 months.

The Excellence Awards winners were announced on the 3rd of June, during the closing event of the EYCA Annual Conference hosted in Belgrade, Serbia. In the run-up to the Conference, EYCA member organisations nominated their favourite projects from across the Association and voted on the winner in each category.

Without further ado, the winners are:

Sustainability Award - HÖOK & Educational Authority, Hungary

The team behind the spectacular growth of the Youth Card in Hungary received the first award of the night in recognition of their successful efforts of extending Youth Card services to over 1 million young people in Hungary.

Quality Benefits and Discounts Award - Agència Catalana de la Joventut, Spain

The card organisation in Catalonia, Spain took home the award for the best discounts and opportunities. The Carnet Jove team works tirelessly to provide young people in Catalonia with over 6 500 discounts and many special projects helping them to start their careers, volunteer or participate in youth policy making.

Knowledge of Young People Award – Young Scot, Scotland

Each year, Young Scot goes above and beyond to show the world the fantastic achievements of young people in Scotland through the Young Scot Awards. This year’s event gave 36 amazing finalists the chance to shine and share their inspirational stories with people all across Scotland. In addition, St Andrew’s University offered every single one of the Young Scot Awards finalists the opportunity to study at their world famous university.

Youth Mobility and Active Citizenship Award – CJP, the Netherlands

CJP’s Young Impact is a fantastic programme encouraging young people in the Netherlands to be a force for change and make the world a better place one day at a time. In May thousands of young people from across the country met for the first edition of the Young Impact Celebration – a fabulous night featuring awards and a great party.

PR and Communications Award - Association IJD, France

The amazing communications campaign designed and implemented by Association IJD ensured a successful launch of the European Youth Card in France in 2016. EYCA members recognised and rewarded this achievement by choosing IJD as the winner in the PR and Communications category.

Active Contribution to EYCA Award – Young Scot, Scotland

The final award of the night went to Young Scot in recognition of the organisation’s constant contribution to the Association and their dedication to sharing their knowledge and experience with fellow EYCA members to the benefit of all European Youth Cardholders.
