€8 entry price The museum Dhondt-Dhaenens is an internationally renowned museum housing modern and contemporary art in Deurle. The museum is part of the Foundation Mrs Jules Dhondt-Dhaenens founded by Jules and Irma Dhondt-Dhaenens in 1967 and shows an incredible collection of Flemish art the couple started to gather in the 1920's. The Foundation wants to secure the vision of Jules and Irma Dhondt-Dhaenens by making their art collection and culture accessible to a broad Flemish, Belgian and international audience. Apart from the museum, the Foundation Mrs Jules Dhondt-Dhaenens also includes two other nearby locations: the Wunderkammer and Woning Van Wassenhove. Het museum maakt deel uit van de Stichting Mevrouw Jules Dhondt-Dhaenens, een Vlaamse particuliere stichting opgericht door Jules en Irma Dhondt-Dhaenens in 1967 en bezit een bijzondere collectie kunstwerken van Vlaamse kunstenaars, die vanaf het einde van de jaren 1920 verzameld werden door het echtpaar Jules en Irma Dhondt-Dhaenens. De Stichting waarborgt de oorspronkelijke visie van het echtpaar Dhondt-Dhaenens door zowel hun kunstcollectie als cultuur in brede zin toegankelijk te maken voor een divers Vlaams, Belgisch en internationaal publiek. Naast Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens omvat de Stichting Mevrouw Jules Dhondt-Dhaenens twee nabijgelegen sites, de Wunderkammer en Woning Van Wassenhove.
